Ch.3 Lesson Summary and Training Plan
Thank yoou
this video is really eye opening. I have 2 questions: 1. Are there certain sweeps that work better with certain guards: Like the Sumi Gaeshi / Hiza Garuma works better with inside guards Or the flower sweep and tomo nage could work better from outside guards? Etc. And if so, what other sweeps would fall into these categories? 2. what are the pros and cons of each? example inside: - pros: quickly get into SLX,or cross ashi positions, good for sumi gaeshi sweeps, - cons: easier to get passed, harder to take the back. Outside: - pros: can more easily access backside 5050, good for transition to back take, helps guard retention. - cons: exposing your legs to leg attacks, 50/50 is harder to play. Half guard: - pros: best of both worlds, you have more access to the back than inside position, can quickly attack the back, can access false reap, z guard, omaplata's, etc, - cons: worst of both worlds, you're half passed. Is there anything else anyone would add to this list?
GOLD.
Great tutorial, thanks!
Älskar verkligen att se dessa Jiujitsu för nybörjare videor! Det är så inspirerande att se folk ta sina första steg in i denna fantastiska kampsportsvärld. 💪🥋

Craig who???
Very good teaching. Not everyone who has perfect technique knows how to teach.
To the blonde dumbass in the white gi. Sit up you idiot. You're not at the beach.
that far leg trip from the sin whizzer is just beautiful
Got darced by a white belt now I gotta watch this on repeat till my eyes bleed.
One submission I just cant get.
the best guard retention specialist!
Love this sweep - Thanks!
I like how he rolls and attack the back at the same time. Anyone else liked that part too?
Nice!
Sick
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Positional options works best for my brain. I would always want to understand different avenues of attack based on the position i'm in.
very nice❤
Shouldn't you be able to close it off with your foot locked in behind the knee and then adjust the same way? I feel like this way you'd lose control more easily. 🤔
Complete tear of my ACL trying to escape from lockdown

Too fast
❤ clear and concise explanations as always. Giant killer.
Cool stuff Lachlan. My technique has improved leaps and bounds, primarily thanks to you.

Really helpful detail 👍🏻
Yes! This is awesome! Already posing a problem with this pass to my training partners but now they know to push my head I needed these details 🙌
thanks for this, was having trouble shooting my arm through for the reasons you explained and this will help for sure.
I personally found Japanese necktie to be much higher percentage choke and less taxing on arms. Being able to apply it with such shallow grip is even a bigger game changer.
Great video 💯🥋🙏
Back a year later and this is 👌👌👌
Is this Craig?
Myaount
How do I stop them from getting an arm around my neck?
Genius. If you would have just taught this basic white belt half guard pass to Royler, Eddie wouldn't have had a chance against him. It's too bad Royler never learned this basic white belt pass. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Does Rida ever win? I mean besides beating 50 year old has beens
First time I saw this was Aoki doing it way back in the day in an MMA fight. Probably where Khabib got it from.
It's a common folk style wrestling technique that probably has been around for millenia
Beautiful, thank you 👍🙂
Finally. A BJJ channel that gets that demonstrations are best done when participants wear contrasting colors. White on white is too hard to see.
thank you for the video
🤙
Marcelotine
It's an inverted armbar
🤙
thanks mate, big fan of your videos. Wondering though where Royler was going wrong with the knee slice, eddie kept getting that electric chair
Royler got out fought positionally over a long period of time in the micro battles. Eddie always got on his hip side not flat and when flat he regained , when Eddie went for the scoop grip/leg underhook needed kneebar/electric/deep half royler couldn’t keep him out via cross face, and knee pinch, when royler broke lockdown he repummeled etc etc these battles were taking place over long period of time swing back forth and Eddie finally got the better of exchanges for the sweep/leg entanglement… these battles are the key to beating black belts with half guard bottom or top
Really tight against my .. uhh... hip
The young Craig Jones!
